Vehicle Coverage Checklists

When you get your renewal, please take time to check it over:

• Is the policy in the name of the Registered Owner of the vehicle?
• How many drivers in household?
• How many vehicles in household with correct VIN numbers?
• Are all drivers in the household listed with drivers license numbers?
• Does the vehicle commute to work? If so, how many km one way?
• Estimated distance travelled per year for each
• Do you have the coverages you want? eg. Liability and deductible amounts?
• Has the use of the vehicle changed, have you reported this to your broker?
• Is vehicle used for business (eg. real estate, salesperson)?
• Is vehicle used for commercial purposes (eg. construction, lawn cutting, snow ploughing, newspaper delivery, pizza delivery, mail delivery, farming)
• Is vehicle modified (customized) (eg. upgraded sound system, paint job, handicapped lifts etc)?
• Is the correct vehicle insured? Please check the VIN on your vehicle!
• Do you require Loss of Use?
• Do we have your homeowner insurance?
• Are you retired?
• Do your children attend school away from home?
